**Full Job Description**
The job description for a general EWP operator typically includes the following duties and responsibilities:

- Operating and maintaining elevated work platforms, such as scissor lifts, boom lifts, cherry pickers, and scaffolds, according to manufacturer's specifications and safety regulations.
- Inspecting and performing routine maintenance on equipment, including daily pre-operational checks, lubricating equipment, and reporting any defects or malfunctions.
- Safely positioning and securing elevated work platforms in order to access work areas and perform tasks.
- Communicating with team members and supervisors to coordinate work schedules, equipment needs, and safety procedures.
- Following safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), using safety harnesses and lanyards, and properly securing equipment and materials.
- Operating controls to raise, lower, extend, or rotate elevated work platforms in a manner that is safe and effective for performing tasks.
- Identifying potential hazards and taking appropriate action to address them, such as relocating equipment or using additional safety measures.
