**Are you passionate about Education and looking for a role with a twist? Our Education team is looking for a WILD Programs Designer to join the Zoos SA team full-time.**

Zoos SA is a not-for-profit conservation charity that saves species from extinction and connects people with nature. We support and conduct many conservation, breeding and research programs, and as part of our conservation efforts, we operate both Adelaide Zoo and Monarto Safari Park.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The role is focused on delivering educational programs that inform, empower and inspire Primary, Secondary and Tertiary visitors to take action for conservation. You will report directly to the General Manager of Wild Learning, and the role will be responsible for
- Under the direction of the General Manager of Wild Learning, this position designs education programs and is responsible for student safety, learning and addressing grant requirements.
- Through the design and delivery of educational programs, this role will inform, empower and inspire the community to take action for conservation.
- This position is responsible for staff management of casual educators, contributing to learning design and delivery of new programs, liaison with clients, program evaluation and promotion.
- The role includes handling animals for group presentations, collaborating with other Zoos SA employees, and familiarising with safety protocols and child-safe procedures.

The successful applicant will be a reliable, motivated, organised and enthusiastic team player looking for a challenging but rewarding role. To be considered for this position, you will need to meet the following **selection criteria**:

- Teaching and curriculum development experience (essential);
- Capacity to work flexible hours, including training staff for our overnight Zoo Snooze Experience
- Experience working with animals and conservation-based education (desirable);
- An understanding of action-based learning and education for sustainability principles;
- Demonstrate well-developed verbal and written communication and presentation skills;
- Be confident working effectively with groups in busy, noisy and outdoor situations;
- Be a self-starter with an innovative and solutions-based approach;
- Display excellent time management skills; and
- Current Teacher registration with valid TRB registration (required)

The salary range for this position is $40-$43 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
