As the Regional Facilities Operations Lead, you’ll be responsible for the strategic and day-to-day operations of our dynamic APAC workplace portfolio. This includes overseeing facilities management, workplace security, and sustainability initiatives to ensure our spaces are safe, efficient, and inspiring.
This position is located in Sydney, where you will be instrumental in one of our most prestigious projects — the Atlassian Central Project. This flagship headquarters is set to redefine the concept of a future-oriented workplace, showcasing innovative design and functionality. You can learn more about it here.
This position is office-based, requiring you to be located in Sydney. You will report directly to the Head of Facilities Operations, who is also based in Sydney.
**Responsibilities**:
- ** Support Atlassian Central Project**: Drive the building operations delivery plan by collaborating with internal stakeholders. You will make key decisions on building operations, assess design opportunities, and manage the Operational Readiness program as we approach the move-in date. This includes overseeing teams, implementing program activities, and reviewing operational procedures.
- ** Operational Excellence**: Our team is dedicated to creating a safe and efficient office environment. In this role, you will manage our facilities partner to enhance operational standards, safety, and compliance within the workplace. We are responsible for facilities management, workplace security, and sustainability initiatives. You will also collaborate with our Real Estate and Design teams to influence office design decisions and oversee transitions to new offices and facilities.
- ** Strategic Planning and Leadership**: Work closely with internal stakeholders and partners to guarantee operational excellence, ensuring that decisions align with Team Anywhere's objectives. Develop improvement plans based on insights from office performance and support the Real Estate team with office expansions. You are expected to be an expert in your field, possessing local knowledge of customer expectations.
- ** Incident and Crisis Management**: Provide expert support for incident and crisis management within the workplace.
- ** Financial Management**: Manage the financial oversight of OPEX and Minor CAPEX for specific site budget categories, which includes budget preparation and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Over 10 years of experience in workplace and facilities management, including managing large stack tenancy facilities and operations.
- Proven experience in managing facilities and operations through third-party partners.
- Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and making data-driven recommendations.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to balance customer needs with business goals.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Understanding of multidisciplinary building services systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical, fire protection, BMCS).
- Experience with office space redesigns, exits, and property technology.
- Ability to drive sustainability and environmental initiatives.
- Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic industry.
- Demonstrated ability to drive performance through collaborative program management and stakeholder engagement.
