**The Position**

**St John of God Bendigo Hospital **is a private hospital located in central Victoria. St John of God Health Care acquired Mt Alvernia Mercy Hospital in February 2005, renaming it St John of God Bendigo Hospital. The private hospital services the City of Bendigo and Central Victoria.
- We are currently seeking an experienced and approachable Casual
- **Medical Receptionist** in our Outpatient department.
- As Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for representing the Doctor’s Consulting Suites and the Allied Health Department; maintaining exceptional reception, performing clerical duties and providing an efficient and timely administration service to our Consultants, patients and all stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Key functions of the position are to ensure that all computer data entries, invoicing, reporting and other administrative functions are carried out in a professional and timely manner.

- Confidentiality - able to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
- Experience working in a General Practice/Allied Health Department setting with varying degrees of established processes and systems.
- Planning and organising - able to multi-task, prioritize and schedule tasks and activities.
- Attention to detail - able to produce accurate and high quality work through concern for all areas involved.
- Customer service skills - able to develop good customer relationships with a focus on achieving customer satisfaction.
- Adaptability - able to adjust approach to meet changing demands and situations including dealing with diverse people.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as required, including the requirement to start early and stay late if required
- Ability to rapidly acquire an understanding of clinic practices and systems and to work effective and efficiently with these practices and the adaptability to work in an environment of change
- Ability to work both independently and interdependently, show initiative and work productively within a busy environment, managing multiple demands and the aptitude to work with mínimal supervision.
