**The Opportunity**

Austal currently has a permanent, full-time opportunity for a multi-skilled Yard Hand / Cleaner to join our Site Services Department in Henderson. In this role, the Yard Hand / Cleaner will be accountable for delivering their work on time, in full, and to standard. They will also be responsible for ensuring their own safety and that of their colleagues, while maintaining a clean, tidy, and productive work environment. Additionally, they are expected to strive for continuous improvement in all aspects of their work.

**What’s involved**
- Remove & empty construction waste bins from work areas.
- General facility/yard cleaning and garden maintenance as required.
- Maintaining lunchroom supply levels (coffee, milk, tea, sugar etc).
- Assisting with facility maintenance activities.
- Painting activities (line marking, walkways etc).
- Forklift operation.
- Assembly and relocation of office furniture.

**You’ll need**
- To be physically fit with the ability to pass pre-employment physical and medical assessment.
- Construction White Card.
- Knowledge & experience in using hand and power tools safely.
- Forklift Ticket is desirable.
- A willingness to take on a broad variety of cleaning and maintenance duties.
- Flexibility to deal with changing priorities on a daily basis.
