**Experience & Strategic **Design at BCG X**

Our Experience & Strategic Designers are tasked with developing product and service solutions that consider all the complexities of delivering business and customer value. With immense attention to detail and forward-thinking leadership, they bring together the best of strategy, design, and technology development. They partner with venture architects, product managers and engineers to ensure that new ventures and business builds are set up to deliver strategic value in line with design intent.

**What you will do**
- Design compelling products from initial concept through to delivered product in market
- Advocate for using research and data to inform design decisions
- Engage in ethnographic research and robust testing techniques to drive design decisions
- Use frameworks to rationalise design decisions and deliver high-value products and services
- Use prototypes to identify unique opportunities and explore solutions
- Lead presentations in highly compelling and engaging manner
- Bring research to life through personas, customer journeys, insight-opportunity frameworks, system maps, stories and scenarios
- Mentor junior design team members to elevate their craft and professional presence
- Facilitate visual problem-solving with venture team members

**You should have**
- A bachelor’s degree, preferably in interaction design, human computer interaction, or another relevant design field
- Strong experience of Figma and other emergent design and research tools
- Experience leading and mentoring designers in both design process and career development
- Expertise in building interactive prototypes to illustrate your own design for web sites and mobile apps using modern technologies: from quick prototyping tools such as InVision/ Flinto to more detailed prototyping with Origami/Quartz, Xcode, or tools with similar depth
- Experience in a start-up environment and exposure to cross-discipline teams, preferably having been a start-up founder or in a lead/senior hands-on position designing user experience from conception to minimum viable products to large scale launch & adoption
