Sands Fridge Lines are currently seeking an experienced part-time Payroll Officer to work in our Forrestfield location. This role will require a Payroll Officer who can work **25 hours per week, Monday to Friday**. We are flexible as to the start and finish times but would prefer that these times are the same each day.

Sands Fridge Lines (Sands) is a family-owned and operated logistics business and is a leading provider of chilled, frozen, ambient warehousing and transport distribution services.

**DUTIES INCLUDE**:

- Conduct payroll function for between 200 - 250 employees ensuring pay runs are calculated in accordance with relevant awards/Enterprise Agreement rates, allowances and any variations as submitted.
- Interpret Award and EBAs for the purposes of conducting payroll functionality
- Accurate and timely calculation of superannuation, workers compensation, payroll deductions and reimbursements in line with current legislation
- Managing the new starter process, employee terminations, superannuation, payroll tax, end of month processes and end of year processes
- Payroll and headcount reporting to business units
- Ensuring accurate leave entitlements are being maintained and reported
- Provide accounting and administrative support to finance.
- Support human resources with relevant administration and Ad Hoc projects as required - Keep up to date with award and IR changes that may impact payroll and its functions / processes
- Work closely and collaboratively with HR to ensure that all contractual responsibilities are maintained
- Conduct cost allocation of wages
- Perform month-end reconciliation, reporting and statutory requirements
- Year-end reconciliations, reporting and statutory requirements
- Respond to payroll queries in a professional and timely manner

**REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE**:

- High-volume data entry duties.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing work priorities.
- Works within the limits of authority, seeking guidance were unsure
- Takes personal responsibility for resolving problems
- Sound knowledge of EBA and award interpretation
- Ability to up manage issues to supervisor / manager

**EXPERIENCE**:

- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an end-to-end payroll function
- Solid experience and knowledge of Astute Payroll
- Experience with Sage and UKG is a bonus
- Current and valid Australian driver's license and own transport
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel programs
