Develop Power BI reporting framework

This successful Multinational business is owned by its US listed parent with a mandate to continue their growth through acquisitions and organic growth.

With a strong position in a growing market segment, they are now looking to appoint a high-calibre Reporting Analyst - Power BI with the purpose of developing and improving the insights and reporting framework for the business.

These reports will provide insightful data to all levels of stakeholders to support the decision-making process.

Key responsibilities include:

- Ensure large and/or complex data is accessible, understandable and usable, and conveying clarity, through appropriate data visualisation techniques and methods
- Consult with department leads and report users to define report requirements as part of the systems team
- Partner with stakeholders to under their reporting and insight requirements
- Produce best practice queries to develop functional reporting and data models
- Develop complex data models from varying sources with incremental refresh, model performance optimisation/tuning and hierarchical data
- Manage the design approval process by coordinating issue resolution
- Create and maintain existing data models including data model connections
- Implement data validation initiatives with new found business knowledge

Key criteria to be considered:

- Ideally you will have a Finance background
- You must have advanced experience in Power BI
- Tangible experience developing a suite of reports from scratch
- Ability to understand business objectives and translate into meaningful insights and reporting
- Good communication skills to effectively partner with stakeholders
- Strong analytical and requirement gathering skills
