As a Data Strategy Manager in our Advisory practice, you’ll know your clients needs inside and out and provide strategic advice to help clients define what matters and drive digital and data transformations using innovative technology. We deliver our broad range of advisory services through an integrated collaborative approach between our clients and practitioners.

What you’ll do
- Be known for your "client-centric" approach and delivery excellence, and develop, and grow exceptional internal and external client relationships.
- Define data strategies, providing a target state and comprehensive roadmap aligned to clients’ business needs, including elements such as use case(s) definition and business case development.
- Engage clients’ leadership and key stakeholders in strategic discussions to provide outstanding technical strategy and industry guidance to improve their long-term business goals.
- Provide leadership and guidance related to operating models, data management and data governance practices to support our clients in managing and realising value from their data investments.
- Be a thought leader for clients around navigating change and adopting new capabilities such as artificial intelligence by helping clients understand short and long-term change implications of technology shifts across policy, people, process, and platform dimensions.
- Supporting the delivery of organisation-wide change initiatives that result from data strategies.
- Explore and explicitly elaborate upon the commercial implications and impacts arising from your recommendations to enable your clients to fund transformation ambitions.
- Advise, guide, and coach client business and technology teams to drive the implementation of your recommendations.
- Provide leadership within the digital enterprise team, guiding and coaching more junior team members.
- Uplift Avanade’s advisory capability by coaching and developing advisory talent through proactive contributions to thought leadership, asset development and communities of practice.
- Establish relationships with Solution Architects in the Analytics practice and other parts of the business within Avanade and Accenture to collaborate on client solutions.
- Contribute to Avanade’s sustained growth by proactively contributing to business development opportunities and pursuits.

Skills and experiences
- Experience creating a fact-base of data to analyse and derive insights to inform strategies, including the ability to lead and conduct data profiling, cataloguing, and mapping to develop insights as part of developing roadmaps, strategy and delivering advisory engagements.
- A history of solving complex business challenges and leaning in to understanding the client’s broader commercial or business strategic needs
- A track record of delivering project work streams and deliverables through your skills in coordination, focus on outcomes, clear communication and empathy for people across different backgrounds.
- Applied experience designing architectures for transformations and modernizations of enterprise data and analytics solutions, preferably using Azure cloud data technologies.
- Knowledge of data architecture patterns, Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Quality tools and processes
- Familiarity with modern development practices.
- A knack for explaining complex technologies, analytical methodologies and concepts in non-technical language.
- The ability to evolve, conceptualise and communicate new ideas using storytelling techniques.
