We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Defects Supervisor to join our team.

Working within a dynamic team and reporting to the Head of Client Services, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

- Prepare technical reports and responses when dealing with defects rectification.
- Engage sub-contractors to carry out remedial works and provide detailed scope of works to be executed.
- Manage and oversee defects / maintenance activities to achieve the most productive use of available materials and resources.
- Monitor progression of all job activities on a regular basis and instigate strategies when program slippage occurs.
- Maintain overall quality assurance whilst ensuring building compliance when completing defects rectification works.
- Obtain quotations for work and monitor cost recovery.
- Analyse prioritisation of works and manage accordingly (programming of works).
- Forecast and oversee coordination of all trades required for re-works and repairs.
- Liaise with design managers to promote best practice detailing and continuous improvement in the business.
- Assist in quality management, either through reporting with 'Quality bulletins' or site construction work inspections and reporting.
- Maintain professional relationships with relevant stakeholders.
- Provide high quality professional company image and work standards to ensure client satisfaction.
- Maintain a high professional standard in administrative disciplines, procedures and accurate record keeping.
- Ensure that departmental work ethics are maintained to OHS&E standard at all times.
- Ensure regular and continuous feedback on progress of all activities.

**Skills & Experience**
- Minimum Cert IV in Building & Construction
- Knowledge of legislation, rules, regulations and standards relating to the construction industry
- Senior First Aid Certificate desirable
- Construction Safety Induction (white) card
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and subcontractors
- Must be self-motivated, demonstrating exemplary leadership and multi-tasking skills
