**The Opportunity**

Come and discover the opportunity to join our People Services team as a **Payroll** **Analyst**. with the option to be based in** Port Kembla NSW**, **Adelaide SA or Mt Waverley VIC**. As BlueScope continues to grow as a business we will continue to strengthen our People team by looking to bring new capabilities into the function.

In this newly created role, you will provide valuable insights on proactive payroll analytics and data investigations to ensure compliance with our Enterprise Agreements, policies and legislation - identifying root causes and informing corrective actions.

**What Will You Do?**

Leveraging your payroll knowledge to understand the analytics and compliance requirements, you will:

- investigate and resolve complex payroll queries
- perform pro-active payroll analytics to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, Enterprise Agreements and policies
- extract, analyse and interpret large sets of data, identifying anomalies, root cause(s) and corrective actions
- calculate pay adjustments and back payments and advise payroll on such amendments following a thorough payroll investigation
- identify and implement process improvement opportunities to mitigate future risk
- create and provide value-add payroll insights to customers to assist with business decision making
- provide operational support to the Senior Payroll Officer role with (planned and unplanned leave and busy periods) performing end-to-end weekly and fortnightly payroll processing

**More About You**

With your analytical skills and attention to detail and passion for process improvement, you will bring:

- end to end SAP payroll and reporting experience
- understanding of payroll legislation and relevant employment laws
