**About the role**

As an Employee Relations Consultant, you’ll be the trusted advisor supporting Origin’s leaders to navigate the complex world of people management. From coaching and casework to policy advice and investigations, you’ll be at the frontline of creating better workplace outcomes.

Your days will be varied resolving misconduct matters, running low-risk investigations, managing complaints, advising on industrial instruments, supporting capability uplift, and contributing to strategic P&C projects. It’s a role with purpose, pace, and plenty of professional stretch. Your responsibilities will include:

- Support leaders through various complex ER matters—including misconduct, complaints, and terminations—providing guidance from start to finish.
- Deliver trusted advice on all aspects of employee relations including performance, conduct, grievances, and industrial instrument interpretation.
- Lead low-risk workplace investigations with professionalism and empathy.
- Identify and address psychosocial risks, such as bullying, harassment, and workplace stress, fostering safe and respectful environments.
- Coach and uplift capability in leaders and employees, promoting self-service and confident, people-first decision-making.

**What will you bring?**

You're someone who thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment and you're always looking for smarter, more effective ways to get things done. You bring a mix of curiosity, confidence, and care—ready to make a real difference. Ideally, you’ll have:

- 3+ years of experience in Employee or Workplace Relations, preferably in a large or complex organisation.
- Solid generalist HR knowledge, with hands-on experience in case management and investigations.
- A degree in Business, Law, HR, or a related discipline.
- A natural ability to coach, influence, and build capability—especially when guiding leaders through tricky people matters.
- A trauma-informed mindset and a genuine, empathetic approach to supporting others.
- Experience with project management or working in organisations navigating transformation, will be an added bonus.

**So why join us?**
- 20 weeks of paid leave for primary carers with flexible return options.
- Thrive in a culture of personal and professional growth.
- Enjoy a central CBD location with access to parking and public transport.
- Purchase up to four additional weeks of leave annually.
