**About this role**
This is a lead role within the Regulation and Compliance Unit, with primary responsibility for the prevention, assessment and management of serious wrongdoing. Key to your success, you’ll be able to build and maintain relationships with key staff within the Ministry, within NSW Health entities, and in other NSW government agencies, to build capability and capacity in managing and responding to allegations of serious wrongdoing, including public interest disclosures.
Crown Clerk 11/12, salary from $145,378 - $168,130 plus Super and annual leave loading.

**What you'll be doing**
In this role, you’ll be managing a small team within the Regulation and Compliance Unit, and work closely with the Director in providing expert advice and oversight on issues of probity, corrupt conduct, protected disclosures and best practice in the conducting of special investigations.
You’ll conduct an initial assessment of reports of wrongdoing and provide direction to team members on the pathway for the management of those reports, including potential referral to the relevant NSW Health entity for management, and notification to the Independent Commission Against Corruption or NSW Ombudsman, where required.
You’ll also provide strategic advice and data to Ministry executive and senior executives across the NSW Health system on system-wide data and trends to further improve NSW Health’s ability to prevent and manage serious wrongdoing, including fraud and corruption prevention.
**About you**
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who have demonstrated:
- Experience in undertaking complex investigations into serious wrongdoing or misconduct, and a demonstrated understanding of modern investigation/review techniques.
- Success in leading and managing people.
