About the role
The Statewide Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) program is a digital infrastructure initiative managed by the NSW Health Office for Health and Medical Research. A CTMS is software designed to support the delivery of clinical trials, NSW Health procured this software for use at all public hospitals and health services involved in clinical trials.
The position is responsible for high level program management of the Statewide CTMS, including financial, operational, and stakeholder management in line with project milestones. The position manages, develops, oversees and evaluates the Statewide CTMS Program and coordinates associated system integrations and reporting.
Crown Clerk 11/12, starting salary from $149,739 - $173,174 plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week, work location- 1 Reserve Road, St Leonards.
Occasional travel is required to promote and support CTMS activities at the state or national level.

What you'll be doing
The role of a CTMS Principal Project Officer is to oversee the Statewide Clinical Trial Management System and associated integrations, data reporting, and sub-projects. The role responsibilities include
- Manage all project activities associated with the Statewide clinical trial management system (CTMS) including integration with the single digital patient record program (SDPR), and other key digital infrastructure
- Manage the project cycle, including developing project plans, identifying and coordinating resources, managing budgets, and meeting reporting requirements to ensure project
- Manage the central CTMS team to ensure consistent and high quality system operation, staff training and support, and successfully deliver on project milestones and deliverables
- Prepare and provide, accurate and high-quality written advice and data relating to health and medical research.
- Contribute to broader management processes of OHMR including budget development, program management, stakeholder engagement and business planning, and foster effective communication and information exchange across the Office and sector.
- Develop relationships and collaborate and consult with key stakeholders to assist with developing, implementing and evaluating initiatives related to stakeholder needs and interests and to maximise the achievement of Government and NSW Health goals and needs.
About you
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:
- Background in health and medical research, preferably clinical trials operations within the public health system, and understanding of challenges and opportunities within the sector.
- Experience with clinical trial management systems, specifically the Clinical Conductor platform in use by NSW Health
- Demonstrated skills and experience in managing all stages of the project cycle for government-led programs.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience in large scale change management, preferably with an ICT initiative.
- Experience managing contracts, and state government procurement including open tenders and vendor selection processes
- As the successful applicant will be required to travel around NSW, you must hold a full drivers licence.
