Director, Credit Research Analyst - APAC Securitised

**About this role**

BlackRock's Fundamental Fixed Income (FFI) business manages more than $1 trillion in global fixed income assets across index, actively managed, alternative, and liability driven investment strategies. The platform offers fixed income investors one of the industry's broadest array of investment solutions across model-based and fundamental investment styles.

Within FFI, the Global Securitised Team are responsible for analysing new issues, secondary opportunities and existing exposures and managing Securitised strategies across BlackRock's fixed income portfolios, institutional clients' segregated mandates and our Securitised pooled fund and has more than $120bn MV under management.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Performing comprehensive credit and cashflow analysis across the full capital structure of APAC Securitised transactions (such as RMBS, ABS and other sub sectors) to be presented to Securitised multi-sector PMs.
- Undertaking analysis for both primary and secondary opportunities considering relative value and potential alpha generation
- Analysing and reviewing transaction documentation
- Reviewing underwriting and servicing of transaction originators and servicers. Participating in dealer roadshows and onsite due diligence
- Communicating with transaction parties including arrangers and originators
- Providing high quality credit opinions to be presented to the European ABS team and analytical support for regular updates to clients on positions
- Tracking issuer, asset class and industry trends

**Key Qualifications**:

- Considerable in-depth experience in the analysis of Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities. Experience with other asset classes will be an advantage
- Understanding of the UK/European and APAC Securitised markets and regulatory landscape
- Excellent oral and written communication skills essential for presenting credit opinions internally and for communicating with clients and other market participants
- Solid understanding of reviewing legal documents from a credit risk perspective
- A strong work ethic with a team-focused approach. Comfortable working within a disciplined investment process using both quantitative and qualitative tools
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build and develop internal and external networks
- Highly numerate and analytical with advanced Excel and Intex knowledge
