About the role
- Full-time (part-time considered on request)

With a key focus on increasing the visibility of the organisation, Community First Development is seeking to appoint a Communications Coordinator. Reporting directly to the General Manager Impact and Strategy, this position will be instrumental in elevating the profile of the organisation by growing its general and digital audience through engaging visual and written planning and content.

**Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate communications activities across the organisation including for events, and major campaigns, collaborating internally and with external designers and printers.
- Develop and produce graphic and written print, digital and multimedia content, including supporting a cycle of social media content.
- Promote and protect Community First Development’s image and identity, ensuring consistency across the organisation.
- Provide internal customer service and engage with the wider team to develop content.
- Adhere to all workplace policies, including Workplace Health and Safety.

Core criteria
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to meet deadlines.
- Persuasive writing skills, demonstrating attention to detail.
- Demonstrated design and information technology skills including the use of Microsoft Office programs and data systems, Adobe creative suite and/or Canva and SquareSpace (or similar web design platform).
- Emotional intelligence demonstrated by strong team and communication skills and a capacity to build and maintain productive relationships.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, stakeholders and communities.

A formal qualification or equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training in design, journalism, marketing, communications or similar is desirable.
