About the role
Based in our Brisbane Head Office, Lorna Jane is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Purchase Order Officer to join our finance team.
You Will
- Generate, process, and manage purchase orders with precision and in accordance with established procedures.
- Coordinate with suppliers to confirm order details, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Maintain accurate records of orders, deliveries, invoices, and vendor returns in the company's purchase order system.
- Collaborate with the buying team to monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs.
- Liaise with the finance department to ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices.
- Work closely with the logistics team to track shipments and address any delivery issues as well as PO receipts.
- Assist in the development and implementation of purchasing policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Prepare and present reports on order status.

About You
- Proven experience in a purchase order processing role, preferably in the retail or fashion industry.
- Strong understanding of purchasing processes, supply chain management, and inventory control.
- Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong knowledge in Excel.
- Experience with purchase order systems such as Netsuite is highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently.
- Relevant qualifications in business, supply chain management, or a related field is advantageous.
