**LOOKING FOR A FEMALE DISABILITY SUPPORT WORKER WILLING TO WORK TO IN BONDI AND THE EASTERN SUBURBS, SYDNEY**

About The Role:
As a Disability Support Worker, you will play an important role in supporting and empowering people with mental or physical disabilities to live independently in their own homes, interact within the community and achieve their individual goals.

The role requires performing any number of daily tasks including:

- Administering or assisting with medications in accordance with charts and plans.
- Providing support to clients in maintaining independence in daily life. Ensuring their safety in day to day living, and providing personal care in health & hygiene activities such as eating, dressing, toileting, and showering. **Playing a role in helping clients with any barriers keeping them from participating in the community - whether that be transport, outside supervision, or facilitating excursions.**
- Support clients with various household tasks including menu planning, cooking & serving meals, cleaning, shopping and other activities involved in daily living.
- Facilitate the implementation of personal support plans for participants who demonstrate challenging behaviours and/or with high physical support needs. **All tasks to be completed either in the participants' residence or within our group homes.**

**Requirements**:

- Certificate 3 in Disability or Individual Support.
- 1 - 3 years experience working in Disability Services and Aged Care.
- Current and full NSW Drivers Licence. No International Licences.
- Fluency in English.
- Ability to read, write and comprehend in English.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts including weekends.
- Willingness to travel.
- Right to work in Australia.
- Current First Aid certificate.
- Current National Police Certificate.
- Current Working With Children Check.
- Access to your own car.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Casual

**Salary**: From $27.00 per hour
