Program Manager

About the Role

Team Global Express (TGE) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to join our Integrated Business Services team. In this position you will have the opportunity to define, establish, and govern major cross-functional, strategic business initiatives to ensure end-to-end delivery of the projects. Ensure that initiatives are focused on improving the performance of the respective functions.

The Program Manager will be able to utilise entrepreneurial commercial, performance, project management and process skills to support the design, creation, and implementation of new or enhanced business capability, governance of project delivery and ensuring the management of benefits.

These projects are typically large-scale, high impact initiatives with moderate to high risk and complexity, strongly aligned to business driver, performance objectives and benefits. They require the capacity for cross business unit integration and solutions.

Primary outcomes are:

- Consult with the functions to define projects that solve issues, create value, maximise growth and improve business performance. Use business skills to provide objective advice and expertise and help the functions to develop capabilities that will deliver on the broader strategy and performance objectives.
- Govern the delivery of the required outcomes of a set of projects (E2E).
- Ensure Integrated business services maintains a balanced portfolio of projects that supports Global Express strategy.
- Track project delivery to support the realisation of benefits.
- Uplift and maintain program and project management framework.
- Maintain close relationships with all parts of the Finance and Strategy.

Primary skills and responsibilities:

- Facilitate the definition, development and approval of the project business case and define success metrics in partnership with business sponsors, including leading the project through the Global Express stage gate process.
- Ensure stakeholder engagement and the delivery of new products and/or services from the projects meets business requirements.
- Implement contemporary project management practices on the project including project planning & business case development, establishment of project governance,, stakeholder management, quality management, change management, activity-based schedule development including the critical path and active & effective risk and issue management.
- Ensure the project delivers the product, system or processes that are required to realise the identified benefits within defined quality, time, and cost constraints.
- Implement effective change control process to evaluate, log and implement where approved changes to scope, time, cost including benefit impact

About You

- 7+ years post-graduate level prior related job experience required.
- MBA qualified in Accounting/Finance/Technology/Business or relevant field.
- Transport and Logistics Industry or shared services experience is a plus.
- Experience in management consulting especially with a focus on productivity and performance management would be highly desirable.
- Agile, LEAN, Human Centred Design experience an advantage
