**About The Role**:
We are seeking an experienced Clinician for the Close Supervision Unit.

The Close Supervision Unit is a 25-bed specialist unit for prisoners who present with complex and challenging behaviours within custodial environments. The Unit is staffed by a team of caring and creative team members who aim to provide high-quality treatment. Within the justice system, the unit is known for its innovative operating model and approach to rehabilitation. We strive to provide a warm and supportive team environment to foster professional development and positive outcomes for the participants. This is achieved through:

- Regular individual supervision (with opportunity to commence your clinical and/or forensic registrar program)
- Group Supervision
- Peer Supervision
- Regular CPD opportunities.

As a Clinician in the CSU you will provide a range of assessment and treatment services. This includes conducting diagnostic assessments, functional behaviour assessments and forensic risk assessments. Clinicians in the CSU also deliver a range of therapeutic interventions that address complex and challenging behaviours, as well as the delivery of drug and alcohol programs, offending behaviour programs and more.

**The Clinician will**:

- Undertake various assessments including functional behaviour assessment, structured clinical interviews, risk assessments and psychometric testing.
- Develop forensic case formulations and treatment plans, write case-notes and outcome reports.
- Provide individual cognitive-behavioural interventions to support program participation, address distress, treatment readiness, offending behaviour and other treatment needs as well as reintegration.
- Facilitate group interventions targeting criminogenic needs such as treatment readiness, violence, family violence, substance abuse, antisocial attitudes, problem solving and impulsivity in addition to programs targeting wellness, healthy relationships, trauma and reintegration.
- Contribute to case-management planning and case reviews, behaviour support plans and community reintegration plans.

**To be successful in the clinician role in the Close Supervision Unit you will have**:

- Full registration as a Psychologist (PBA) or Social Worker (AASW), or an experienced Occupational Therapist (desirable: PBA practice endorsement in a specialist field such Clinical, Forensic or Neuropsychology or relevant post-graduate qualifications in your chosen discipline).
- Experience as a registered practitioner completing assessments, individual and group interventions, in a correctional, clinical or other relevant setting.
- Demonstrated experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and other best-practice therapeutic frameworks for working with offenders.
- Knowledge and/or experience of Functional Behaviour Assessment, applied behaviour analysis and the development of holistic behaviour support and treatment plans.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others both cross-agency and as part of a multidisciplinary team of professionals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively and efficiently prepare clinical formulations and reports.
