
Environment Manager

The Environment Manager will be responsible for:
- managing the IT environments used for software development, testing, and production.
- overseeing the maintenance and deployment of software and systems across various environments, ensuring that they are stable and operating optimally
- working closely with software development, testing, and release management teams to support the software development lifecycle and ensure effective software delivery into operations.
- providing proactive incident management to avoid disruptions to ongoing SDLC processes and services, as well as timely communications in the event of a disruption
- collaborating with development, testing, release and support functions to bring issues to resolution
- participating in capacity planning and performance testing activities.
**Key accountabilities of this role will be**:
- Provide version update assessment and execution plan
- Provide environment monitoring and status/health reporting to DevOps Lead to inform both development effort and operations
- Coordinate and execute deployments to production environments
- Undertake and mitigate risk through the resolution of support issues and system incidents
- Create and maintain documentation related to environments, including standard operating procedures and runbooks
- Implement and maintain configuration management tools and processes
- Develop and maintain automated processes for environment creation, deployment, and testing
**Key Selection Criteria**
- Technical Expertise_
- 5+ years of experience working in a complex and dynamic IT Program with a focus on environment management and release management
- Strong ability working with technical teams and with a solid understanding of development and testing concepts
- Proven experience working across the software development lifecycle and knowledge of key deliverables within each phase
- Qualifications_
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
- Knowledge and Skills_
- Solid understanding and knowledge of software development lifecycle and operational support functions
- Knowledge of software development methodologies and tools
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Strong experience with DevOps practices
- Familiarity with cloud computing and containerization technologies
