**Your Impact**
Reporting to the Group GM - Health, Safety and Wellbeing an exciting opportunity responsible for implementing environmental improvement programs, undertaking corporate environmental compliance reporting, leading environmental management system and compliance.
We are committed as a business to our EHS practices, and you will have the opportunity to review and analyse environmental performance to identify improvement opportunities and partner with relevant internal and external stakeholders to drive the implementation of environmental improvement projects.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Build and maintain external relationships with solution providers
- Champion environmental improvement projects through the capital planning process
- Keep up to date on environmental legal obligations and lead change management process for new/amended obligations
- Support local teams in managing environmental incidents, investigations and corrective actions
- Prepare and submit corporate environmental compliance reports, including National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (NGER), National Pollutant Inventory (NPI) and Asahi Group Holdings (AGH)
- Manage environmental data and reporting systems
- Undertake internal environmental audits against environment legal obligations and ISO14001 requirements
- Lead the implementation of site based ISO14001 certified environmental management systems
**About you**
- Technical Bachelors and additional training/certification in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Social Sciences and CSR
- Good knowledge of federal, state and local regulations
- Proven background in a large scale, matrixed FMCG organization or similar industry
- Proven track record of developing, implementing and measuring environmental compliance programmes and management systems
- Understanding of how an environment strategy is executed at a site and business level
- Strong business partnering abilities to build relationships and influence others to co-pilot an agenda
- Expertise in tracking and using data to show progress and change behaviours
