The opportunity

We have a fixed-term opportunity for an experienced Workplace Relations professional to join our AUSPAC People Team. Reporting to the Workplace Relations Manager you will play a pivotal role in shaping the development and execution of the employment and industrial relations priorities. Responsibilities will include leading workplace relations projects, case management and implementing changes aligned with legislation and industry best practices. You will be tasked with overseeing the enhancement and upkeep of crucial workplace relations frameworks and governance, ensuring a proactive approach to risk management.

Your new role

Key responsibilities will include:
ER Projects:
- Play a key role in employee relations projects- Adopting an agile and continuous improvement mindset, identify opportunities to simplify and modernise workplace relations practices and processes across the AUSPAC region, including review of QBE policies

Workplace Relations Governance:
- Contribute to the uplift and maintenance of key workplace relations frameworks and governance, to appropriately manage risk aligned with the regulatory requirements and industry best practices- Maintain updated knowledge of current legislation and case law, and contemporary workplace relations practices- Provide timely support and updates to the People Business Partnering teams and other key stakeholders on key developments

Complex Case Management and Support:
- Manage complex conduct and other workplace relations cases adopting a people-centred and pragmatic approach, including providing advice and guidance to senior business leaders- Provide specialist support to the broader People Business Partnering and Leader Assist teams across the AUSPAC region on the management of lower risk workplace relations cases and coach the teams on implementing contemporary practices and a people-centred approach to case management

About you

To be successful as a Workplace Relations Partner you will have strong experience within an Employee Relations, Employment Law role or as a Business Partnering with Employee Relations exposure. You will also have;- Ability to provide people-centred and practical advice and guidance on complex and nuanced employee and industrial relations issues- Ability to manage change and lead projects involving multiple stakeholders, deliverables and collaboration with various teams- Highly effective collaboration, influencing and negotiation skills with individuals at all levels- Ability to provide effective coaching to other members of the people team- Great communication skills both written and verbal- Tertiary qualifications in HR or Law will be highly regarded, or an equivalent level of experience
