**Role and Responsibilities**: As an Assistant Manager and Educational Leader, you will work closely with the Center Manager to ensure the smooth operation and delivery of high-quality care and education. Your responsibilities will include:
- Team Leadership and Support:
- Assisting the Center Manager in supervising and supporting a team of dedicated educators, fostering a positive and collaborative work culture.
- Participating in staff training, mentoring educators, and providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Collaborating with the Center Manager to conduct performance evaluations and implement performance improvement plans.
- Operational Management:
- Assisting with the day-to-day operations of the center, including administrative tasks, enrollment management, and scheduling.
- Ensuring compliance with licensing, health, and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Curriculum and Program Development:
- Contributing to the design and implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum and educational programs that meet regulatory standards.
- Collaborating with educators to create engaging and enriching learning experiences that promote children’s holistic development.
- Monitoring and evaluating program outcomes to identify areas for improvement and innovation.
- Family Engagement:
- Building positive relationships with families, promoting open communication, and addressing their questions or concerns.
- Assisting with parent orientation sessions, parent-teacher conferences, and community engagement events.
- Working closely with families to ensure their child’s individual needs and goals are met.
- Health and Safety:
- Assisting in maintaining a safe, clean, and child-friendly environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Implementing emergency procedures and ensuring staff are trained on safety protocols.
- Conducting regular risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
**Requirements**: To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A genuine passion for working with children and a strong desire to make a difference in their lives.
- A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Availability Monday - Friday
- Excellent knowledge of child development principles and a commitment to providing high-quality care and education.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to handle challenging situations with grace and professionalism.
- A current First Aid/CPR certification and a valid Working with Children Check.
- Proven track record of successfully managing a childcare center, demonstrating exceptional leadership and management skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of early childhood education principles, industry regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills to engage with families, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Outstanding organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
