The Opportunity

Due to new projects and increased outputs we are seeking Data Analyst to be part of the West Region Delivery Team, working on critical infrastructure to deliver design, construction, maintenance and facility management services for the next ten (10) years across wastewater and recycled water systems extending from Sydney’s Inner West suburbs out to the Blue Mountains including the Western Sydney Growth Area and part of the North West Growth Centre.

Reporting to the Commercial Integration Manager your primary responsibility of the Data Analyst is to assure and ensure the integrity of project time, cost and quality data across the program controls, project management, and commercial disciplines and to develop reports and templates that are accurate and cohesive across such disciplines and generated in a timely manner.

The role holder is responsible for enforcing best project control practices amongst the users and is expected to take responsibility for the overall accuracy of information produced by the team members.

Responsibilities will include:
- Leadership of self perform and sub contracted work teams- Engage with the business and user groups to capture needs and requirements.- Ensure data across all projects is accurate, integrated, and valid.- Rationalize, consolidate, automate, simplify, or even discard current reports in a process of continual improvement.- Develop and maintain Power BI Reports and Dataflows.- Develop and maintain Excel reports and templates.- Handle data transformation from diverse sources and manage the enhancement of reports and templates.- Propose and deliver creative solutions to optimise the workflows. Increase business efficiency and reduce time to achieve insights.- Address data integrity issues, streamline and improve reporting processes.- Advise on data accuracy and integrity to Program Controls, Project Managers, and Commercial team.

What you will need- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, commerce or finance.- Experience in Construction or Project Management/Controls.- 4+ years of experience in Power BI development.- Proficient in DAX, Power Query, and creating advanced visualizations.- Skilled in data modelling, ETL processes (SQL, Power Query, Power Automate,)- Skilled in managing complex data within large organizations.- Expertise in managing Power BI Service, including creating and managing Power BI apps, setting up row-level security (RLS) and permissions, and creating and updating Datamarts and Dataflows.- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, macros, VBA and Power Query.- Proficient in handling the full Power BI deployment lifecycle.- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
