**About the Role**:
CAV is looking for enthusiastic individuals who are keen to use their skills and aptitudes to positively contribute to operations of its Investigation Services Branch (ISB) located at 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne. We are looking for dynamic, professional and experienced investigators to join our team.
Working as a part of a dedicated team and reporting to their Team Manager, the role includes investigating potential breaches of consumer law, under supervision and guidance, and contributing to compliance and enforcement actions, including Court and Tribunal actions using the department's integrated compliance and enforcement approach.
To be considered for this role, it would be highly desirable to have demonstrated experience in conducting investigations and implementing operational policies, procedures, and practices within a regulatory or integrity environment, or have a demonstrated ability able to quickly acquire skills, coupled with transferable skills.
**Some of your duties will include**:
- Participate and contribute to a range of inquiries, investigations and monitoring activities pursuant to the legislation administered by this office, including the preparation of reports and briefs of evidence in criminal, civil and tribunal matters. Obtain relevant evidence and information from witnesses, suspects and other parties for use in legal proceedings.
- Participate in and contribute to aspects of an ongoing compliance program, including planning and development of compliance activities and their implementation, as necessary under the guidance of senior colleagues.
- Using an integrated compliance framework, assist in the identification of issues and make policy recommendations emerging from inquiries and investigations.
**About You**:
- Relevant knowledge of and/ or demonstrated experience in legislative enforcement activities
- Previous experience in investigation
- The ability to resolve issues through deep understanding or interpretation of existing guidelines.
