**About the Assignment**

We currently have an opportunity for an Environmental Adviser to join the Environment team in the Brisbane or Adelaide office. Reporting to a Lead Environment Advisor, you will lead the development and delivery of environmental management and monitoring programs across a range of Santos’ operations in Australia and internationally, predominantly across Santos’ onshore activities. You will engage with Santos managers, expert technical professionals, government regulatory authorities and monitoring service providers to ensure that Santos’ environmental monitoring objectives are met. You will maintain and improve management tools that assist with meeting these objectives. You can expect to develop into a trusted expert advisor in the technical field of environmental monitoring across all of Santos business activities.

Tasks include:

- Working with multi-disciplinary teams across the business to plan, develop and deliver environmental management and monitoring work programs to prescribed standards.
- Engaging and directing office and field-based teams, including environmental monitoring and management service contractors.
- Project management of contractors and internal business processes to meet defined schedules, budgets and quality objectives.
- Monitoring and reporting of work programs to provide assurance that work programs meet business objectives, such as meeting environmental monitoring requirements.
- Tracking of automated monitoring equipment performance and seeking expert advice and management solutions to meet environmental monitoring objectives.
- Explore, justify and implement potential cost saving targets and strategies.
- Uphold and ensure compliance with all company policies, standards and processes
- Demonstrate and ensure compliance with standards for EHS performance and behaviour consistent with Company’s environmental, and health & safety vision and policies and standards

This assignment is initially offered for 12 months, engaged via Chandler Macleod.

Location for this assignment is Adelaide CBD working full-time office hours.

**About You**
- Previous experience in the provision of environmental management and monitoring services, ideally to the petroleum or resources sector
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritise effectively within a fast-paced work environment
- Sound knowledge of relevant environmental legislation, policies and environmental monitoring processes related to petroleum or resources operations
- Previous experience working within environmental management systems and tools and working with industry environmental monitoring standards.
- Proven high-performer, with excellent communication and organisational skills and capable of building effective working relationships

- Relevant tertiary and relevant work/industry experience
