**About the Role**:
As a Local Laws (School Crossing) Officer, you will be the first point of contact for School Crossing Supervisors and provide support to the Local Laws Team Leader with the coordination of the School Crossing portfolio. Supported by the Local Laws Team Leader you will coordinate induction and training of new and existing School Crossing Supervisors, organise medical assessments and arrange for rosters to be completed, ensuring all school crossings are covered.
**Key Selection Criteria**:
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:
- Certificate IV Statutory Compliance or Diploma of Justice or similar qualification will be considered.
- Strong customer service focus, with well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage conflicting priorities.
- Self-motivator with well-developed conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in enforcement or willing to learn related regulatory fields, to confidently educate and enforce Councils legislation responsibilities.
**Mandatory pre-employment requirements**:
- Be willing to undergo and complete a satisfactory criminal history check.
- Provide or obtain an employment-based Working with Children check.
- Current Victorian Drivers Licence.
