
IT Contracts and Planning Manager

**The primary objectives of the position are**:
- Lead the Portfolio, Policy and Architecture team in IT Services to create and maintain a strategically focused, integrated IT investment approach and practical operating plan that considers risk, technical and financial issues and delivers strategic organisational outcomes and enhanced customer experience.
- Contribute to whole of service area leadership and engage collaboratively across the IT Services area, contributing directly to the whole of service area outcomes, a seamless customer experience and ensuring there is development of service area and team capability (people, processes and systems) for delivery and a positive culture is built.
**Duties and responsibilities of the position include**:
- Lead the development and monitoring of IT contracts for the Parliamentary Service.
- Lead a proactive approach to portfolio management, ensuring customer and technology risks and needs are understood and industry trends and practices are considered, to inform IT investment and solution development plans over a 1 to 2 year time horizon.
- Lead the strategic relationship management and consistent and proactive engagement with customers to inform the IT portfolio planning and investment by understanding operational technology and digital needs of the organisation and its customers.
- Lead the development and ongoing review of an experience and capability enhancement strategy that recognises the current state and desired future state and provides the whole service area with practical strategies for defined customer segments to improve engagement and experience.
- Lead the team to develop and deliver frameworks and policies that support a secure and cost effective IT environment that is fit for purpose for the organisation and meets strategic and customer outcomes.
- Provide input to the IT budget for the team costs and IT investment, continuously monitor, proactively flag areas of variation and (with the team and Head of IT) develop a plan to address.
- Oversee and lead the relationship with IT contract arrangements, vendors and suppliers and provide technical support to business owners where IT is not the relationship owner, monitoring the ongoing performance to ensure that the outcomes from the arrangement meets contractual expectations and required performance standards.
- Perform any other duties as directed by the Head of IT Services or the Director of the Information Services Division.
