We are looking for an experienced Supply and Distribution Manager to manage and optimize our supply chain operations.
**Role Overview**:
The Supply and Distribution Manager will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end supply chain operations at Agri Om Australia Pty LTD. This role involves managing the procurement, transportation, and storage of agricultural commodities, ensuring that the company’s products are delivered efficiently and on time to both local and international clients.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement efficient supply chain strategies to ensure the timely delivery of grains, pulses, and oilseeds to clients.
- Manage and oversee all aspects of distribution, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, logistics providers, and distribution partners to optimize supply chain operations.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of the supply chain, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with national and international regulations related to the storage, transportation, and distribution of agricultural commodities.
- Coordinate with the Commodities Trader and sales teams to forecast demand and adjust supply chain operations accordingly.
- Lead the negotiation of contracts with logistics and transportation providers to secure favorable terms and ensure reliable service.
- Oversee the development and implementation of risk management strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions.
- Prepare detailed reports on supply chain performance, inventory levels, and distribution costs to support business decision-making.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or distribution, ideally within the agricultural sector.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and risk management.
- Proven leadership and project management skills, with the ability to oversee complex operations and lead cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a focus on building long-term relationships with suppliers and logistics partners.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Details:
**Salary**: 90,000 plus superannuation
