8:6 roster/ FIFO from Perth or DIDO from Gascoyne region

Strandline is now seeking experienced Lab Technicians to join our team as we head toward operations. Reporting to the Superintendent Process Engineering, you will be involved in daily sampling analysis and metallurgical testing including magnetic separation, electrostatic separation, heavy liquid separation, filtration, and sizing.

**Job Requirements**:
**This role will be on a 8:6 roster FIFO from Perth or DIDO from within the Gascoyne region.**

**Your role**

**Operations Readiness Phase**:

- Develop required competencies in training packages, priority operating systems and procedures as directed
- Perform operating duties as directed and support plant commissioning

**Operations Phase**:

- Embrace and comply with all safety systems, policies, and procedures.
- Undertake workplace inspections and audits
- Report all hazards and incidents and support investigations and corrective actions
- Embrace and comply with Strandline culture and values
- Ensure compliance to all operating licences conditions
- Follow procedures and policies for the safe and efficient operation of Lab equipment and associated infrastructure
- Daily sample analysis to ensure performance of processing plants is optimised
- Undertake and successfully complete training as directed.
- All aspects of product stream analysis, recording and reporting of results related to the processing plants
- Responsible for taking, sorting, weighing, drying, and testing samples
- Responsible for transferring sub-samples to sample packets while maintaining numerical order and following established quality control procedures while avoiding contamination
- Ensure that internal QA/QC standards are met
- Strong focus on accuracy in recording and reporting data
- Experience in prestart checks, troubleshooting and auditing
- Strong safety culture (includes good housekeeping)
- Collection and analysis of water samples as required

**About you**
- Demonstrated Lab Technician experience at a minerals processing plant. Mineral Sands laboratory experience desired but not essential
- Competent and capable with sample collection and analysis
- Strong understanding of beneficiating within mineral processing
- Working experience with XRF Operations, maintenance, and calibration using standards
- Proficiency with computers and Laboratory Information Management System software desirable
- Prior experience in plant commissioning and/or plant ramp will be well regarded
- Certificate in Laboratory Techniques or higher
- Current drivers’ licence
