In this pivotal role you will provide strategic guidance across performance management and reward consultancy to senior management, Board and Remuneration Committee in Australia & New Zealand. You will design, develop and reviews performance management and reward policies, processes and practices that are aligned with Group and Regional P&R framework to support the dynamic and changing business needs and foster a high performance culture. You will also manage the local Remuneration Framework so as to ensure HSBC is compliant with applicable regulatory and legislative requirements
**Your main responsibilities will include**
- Own the Performance & Reward (P&R) strategy for HSBC Australia and New Zealand with the support of a P&R Analyst
- Ensure continuous improvement in manager and employee capability in performance management and alignment of risk, performance and reward in line with regulatory reviews and recommendations
- Drive market leading reward management and related HR policy strategies within the business to attract, motivate and develop the best employees and to enhance overall business performance; Develops and maintains an annual plan on performance management initiatives leading and engaging all country stakeholders
- Support the local ExCo, Board and RemCo on all aspects of remuneration. Provide papers, analysis and reporting to enable these governance forums to meet their accountabilities as established under their respective Charters/Terms of Reference
- Own the benefits and wellbeing offering for employees. Monitor market trends and employee needs on benefits to enhance HSBC’s offering in line with Global frameworks. Actively work to raise awareness and uptake of HSBC’s benefits. Manage a portfolio of benefits vendors, including all risk and performance related oversight to ensure compliance with internal third-party frameworks
- Run the annual performance management and Pay Review cycle
Requirements
**To be successful in this role, you will need**:
- Possesses advanced knowledge in Compensation & Benefits with an excellent numerical ability
- Demonstrates expertise in compensation models, policy development, analytical reasoning and problem solving skills
- Deep understanding of local regulatory environment and legislation, specifically BEAR/FAR, Sedgwick, CPS 510 Governance, APS 330 - Remuneration, CPS 511 Remuneration, CPS 511 disclosures (incoming) and CPS 520 Fit & Proper
- A relevant bachelor or post graduate degree in an HR or business related discipline
- Previous experience gained within a complex multinational
