**About the Role**

Joining the Parks & Natural Environment service unit, you will work within the ‘Active Space’ team. This team is responsible for the management of active areas including the curating of Manningham’s turf wickets and maintenance of sporting reserves, sporting facilities and their surrounds. In this role you will be required to support the ‘Senior Team Leader - Active Space’ by supervising the team and undertaking curation and maintenance of turf wickets and sporting reserve. This is a great time to join Manningham’s the team with a significant sportsground redevelopment program on the horizon. You will also be part of a progressive ‘Parks & Natural Environment’ department that has a vision of continuous improvement supported by a great team of motivated and enthusiastic leaders and staff

**Who Are You?**
- You are an experienced turf professional with a demonstrated ability to provide high quality turf wickets and sportsground surfaces.
- You have experience supervising staff and contractors delivering quality outcomes in a relevant field.
- You have experience with ride on mower/tractor operation with the ability to utilise tools and equipment to achieve quality sportsground and parks maintenance outcomes.
- You are self-motivated with the ability to set priorities, plan and co-ordinate works to achieve the service unit goals and objectives.
- You have a sound knowledge of sportsground maintenance techniques and the relevant plant and equipment with a demonstrated ability to use this knowledge in the field.
- You can communicate effectively with Council staff, contractors, residents, sporting clubs and the public.
