**Description**:
**The Role**:
Based in Mascot, the Head of Technical Sales and Delivery Engineering is responsible for managing 5B's tech sales & delivery engineering teams while working closely with other 5B’s internal areas such as product, technology, delivery, logistics, P&C and 5B executive leadership.
Further, the role provides thought leadership, innovation, control, processes and excellence in how the Sales and Delivery Engineers provide support in the sales process, project design, construction and delivery of 5B’s solutions to customers around the globe.
**Key Deliverables/ Responsibilities**:
Lead and mentor the Technical Sales & Delivery Engineering team and engineers
Support customers in their technical requests and develop/propose a design for the system including civil works, structural (wind, seismic, snow) assessment, layout, string arrangement, electrical reticulation (DC and AC) and energy modeling.
Partner with the Sales Team to create, manage and maintain customer relationships and sales pipeline.
Partner with the Delivery Team to successfully design and execute competitively and safely projects with 5B Mavericks worldwide.
Influence the worldwide solar industry (IPPs, Developers, EPCs, Solar Software, Installers) about the benefits and value proposition of using 5B Mavericks in solar systems.
Work with Product to develop processes and tools to improve the efficiency of the Technical Sales & Delivery Engineering teams while optimising the offer to the end user benefit in terms of technical performance and reduction in costs.
Develop and succinctly articulate strong value propositions for existing and future 5B Products/Solutions.
Estimate Energy output and influence on the Solar Solutions to obtain the maximum energy and energy density.
Are you our next All-Star?
Degree qualified in PV or Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years of experience working in large-scale utility solar industry.
Demonstrated leadership and mentoring in the solar industry
Great negotiation skills
Strong background in solar farm design and engineering with dedicated experience in operation and maintenance.
Advanced understanding of PV technology, energy yield modelling, standards, calculations, testing and quality assurance.
Works collaboratively with superior stakeholder relationship management capability
