**About the Opportunity**
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Category Manager to join our ALH Hotels Merchandise team, where you will report to the Head of Merchandise for Hotels; leading and developing a comprehensive range strategy for ALH Bars, supporting customer-led innovation and trend leadership you'll also work collaboratively with the Category Manager - Trade on all Range Review, Trading Terms, and Pricing discussions with internal and external teams.
This position is accountable for the range strategy across the total Beverage & Snacks categories for our various pubs, bars & clubs. Which includes working collaboratively with cross functional teams, including Pinnacle, Operations, Marketing, Executive Chefs, and wider Merchandise team, to optimise venue-specific range and to ensure a customer-focused beverage and snacks offer aligned with the venue's positioning and with Endeavour retail brands (BWS, Dan Murphy’s, Jimmy Brings etc).
We are looking for a Category Manager who is adept at building relationships with both internal stakeholders, trading partners and key suppliers to access exclusive and first-to-market opportunities.
You’ll have the experience to identify opportunities which accelerate and sustain category growth and deliver a customer focused offer for the ‘Right Brand, Right Pub & Right Price’. You’ll also embed Pinnacle DNA thinking with our venue teams by driving excitement and involvement in the offer.
In addition, the role involves implementing and tracking performance reviews, driving quarterly brand activations, managing the deletion process, and communicating and building team commitment to business strategies while developing talent and future leaders.
**What you’ll need to succeed**:
You will bring to the role strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships, with proven experience in category management in a retail setting, ideally in the liquor or hospitality industry.
You’ll be adept at developing and implementing successful range strategies with a strong understanding of customer insights and market trends.
You will be an engaging people leader with a collaborative working style, be agile in your thinking and adaptable to change.
You will also have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or a related field.
- Extensive experience in range strategy, marketing or category management.
- Strong commercial acumen - ability to lead and negotiate commercial conversations for the category and business.
- The ability to leverage data & insights to drive continuous improvement and sustainable growth, with an understanding of core Category Management fundamentals.
- Excellent communication, collaboration and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
