Annually, the RCH has 300,000+ Specialist Clinic appointments, 90,000+ Emergency Department presentations and 20,000 elective surgeries.

Registrar positions are suitable for trainees in Neonatology, General Paediatrics or other Paediatric subspecialties who wish to gain tertiary neonatal experience.
The Royal Children’s Hospital is a paediatric teaching hospital, and it’s Newborn Intensive Care Unit acts as a quaternary referral centre for neonates with complex medical and surgical problems from Victoria, it’s neighbouring states, and overseas. The Unit is the major regional centre for neonatal surgery and is recognised for it’s expertise in the provision of advanced respiratory support. There is an active research program in several areas.

- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willing to obtain
- Compliance with RCHs “Staff Immunisation - Prevention of Vaccine Preventable Diseases” procedure
- All International Medical Graduate applicants will need to meet the AHPRA English Language requirements
