**Registrars in Paediatric Emergency Medicine**

**The Department**:
The Emergency Department is the busiest paediatric ED in the country and assesses and treats over 90,000 children a year for a range of urgent medical and surgical conditions. Senior staffing includes paediatric emergency medicine specialists and fellows undergoing specific training in paediatric emergency medicine. Together they provide supervision to 42 paediatric and emergency medicine registrars and a further 6 junior doctors. The department has an active education program and plays a major role in national and international paediatric emergency medicine research.

We are seeking the appointment of Paediatric Emergency Medicine registrars to join our dedicated and professional team in February and August 2026.

6 or 12 months full and part-time positions are available.

The successful applicant will join our existing consultant team to provide leadership, supervision and direct care of patients in the Emergency Department. This position will be responsible for all patients who present to the Emergency Department and for meeting key performance indicators.

**To be successful in this role**:
You should be
- Undergoing specialist training in paediatrics, emergency medicine, intensive care, general practice or other specialties where there is an interest in developing skills in paediatric emergency medicine
- Registration/eligible for registration to practise medicine in Australia with Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency
- Completion of APLS /equivalent or undertake to complete this training prior to commencement of employment.
