Catholic Healthcare is a leading not-for-profit provider of residential aged care, home and community services and retirement living across NSW and SE QLD. Together, our team of around 4000 people are dedicated to our Mission to promote the dignity, life and spirituality of older people through connected and inclusive communities.

Reporting to the General Manager, Home and Communities and leading a small team of Volunteer Coordinators, this role oversees our Volunteer Program and facilitates a bespoke service, matching our wonderful volunteers with those who are most vulnerable and isolated in the community. Team leadership and ensuring compliance to quality standards, policies and procedures are also key focus areas for this role.

**Day to day for you this will look like**:

- Providing leadership and coaching to Volunteer Coordinators, Lifestyle Teams & Pastoral Care Teams
- Ensuring quality oversight and implementation of Community Visitor Scheme
- Completing bi-annual reports and annual financial acquittal
- Providing guidance and expertise to Residential Aged Care (RAC) and Home & Community (HCS) teams on volunteer recruitment, induction and training
- Recruiting new team members within approved budgetary headcount; conducting interviews and making selection decisions
- Providing regular coaching and feedback for all employees, including defining KPIs, conducting both informal and formal performance reviews
- Fostering a learning environment and providing development opportunities for employees; ensuring 100% completion of mandatory training as wells as coordinating training for team members
- Ensuring volunteer compliance with all Catholic Healthcare policies and procedures and Aged Care legislative requirements
- Ensuring volunteer training programs are compliant and up to date with ACQSC requirements

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- A proven track record in team leadership (volunteer/aged care experience desirable but not essential)
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- A strong motivation to make a difference in the lives of others
