**About the role**:
YAMHS are seeking a senior clinician who is passionate about improving the mental health and social and emotional wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, adolescents and families. This position will work across Awabakal, Worimi, Wonnarua lands and involves working closely with a dedicated team of YAMHS/CAMHS multi-disciplinary mental health professionals. You will be supported and collaborate with staff from YAMHS/CAMHS and will include close collaboration with local Aboriginal medical services and Aboriginal community controlled sectors to ensure a holistic, culturally sensitive approach to care and an ability to provide a wraparound support response.

You will be part of a Deadly team, that is a specialised Aboriginal mental health service committed to helping the local community access mental health services and work with children/young people and their parents/carers/family and their communities. And provide high quality culturally appropriate mental health assessment, care planning, implementation and evaluation services for children/ young people and their families using best practice principles associated with collaborative partnerships with consumers, families, the multidisciplinary team and other key stakeholders.

You will be supported culturally and professionally by a large Aboriginal mental health workforce who connect daily in clinical and wellbeing huddles, cultural activities, community events, as well as fortnightly and monthly networking meetings with YAMHS and other Aboriginal organisations in community. You will be supported by the YAMHS/CAMHS clinical governance framework and model of care and connect regularly to routine clinical multidisciplinary team reviews as well as access to child and adolescent training development. You will also be supported by the Gayaa Dhuwi (Proud Spirit) Cultural clinical supervision framework to ensure your success in this position. This is one of our strategies in HNE mental health service to achieve sustainable employment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the public health sector. **About you**:
You will have the ability to work in collaboration with Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) / YAMHS ( Aboriginal mental health) Leadership Teams to ensure the provision of culturally safe clinical care that is inclusive and responsive to Aboriginal Community’s needs.
