**Role Description/Criteria**

The ESO - Food Technology Assistant is responsible to the Principal, through the Learning Leader (Technology), Deputy Principal (Teaching & Learning) and Business Manager.

The position is a service focused position supporting the smooth operations and delivery of curriculum in the areas of Food. Key responsibilities focus on stock control; safety; health and hygiene; teacher support; and hospitality.

This is a full time, ongoing position.

**Skills and experience**

To be successful in this position you should demonstrate the following:

- Good organisational skills and familiarity with food handling regulations and other appropriate procedures.
- Ability to prioritise a range of tasks and manage time effectively
- Capacity to communicate effectively with members of the school community including students, teachers and parents and the capacity to provide support and/or attendant care to students where necessary.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of office systems, software or technical equipment as relevant to the position.
- Proven capacity to work effectively in the face of changing priorities and deadlines
- Capacity to work cooperatively with a range of people including teachers, education support, students and parents, including the ability to work as part of a team.
- A commitment to OH&S requirements, commitment to meeting quality standards, and the willingness to update their skills and knowledge on a regular basis.
- Generosity of spirit, optimism and enthusiasm
- Compliance and prioritisation of Child Safety Standards
- Able to obtain a Police clearance and Working with Children Check Card, employment will be conditional upon successful attainment of the WWCC card and a National Police Check.
