Principal Solutions Designer

**How will I help?**

The Treasury Technology team build and support solutions for Westpac Group Treasury’s management of core Funding as well as measurement and management of Liquidity and Interest Rate Risk. Treasury Data Platforms are a central function of the bank’s core operations, and over the next few years will see considerable transformation from Treasury’s data modernisation strategy, as well impact from the core banking technology simplification program. The Principal Solution Designer is an important new role that will oversee the solution design and planning of the many interdependent streams.

**What is required for the role**:

- Core accountability for leading Data Solutions and Integration impact across Treasury and Enterprise programs
- Consultation and Engagement Upstream and Downstream across Group functions at GM level
- Propose solution options for re-engineering larger pieces of end to end and participate in the build
- Engagement with CTO Architecture on Solution Impacts
- Solution Delivery planning cognisant of multiple interdependent initiatives including Treasury Data Platform Cloud Migration

This role can be based in Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne and will require attending the office.

**What do I need?**

Responsibilities will include:

- Very strong batch data ingestion/processing experience
- Extensive Solutions Designer experience at a senior level - leading Data Solutions and Integration impact
- Solution & Data Designer/Architect/Security/Compliance experience
- Legacy and Modern Data related technologies experience - SQL Server, Azure, Synapse, SPARK & SQL
- Strong presentation and communication skills to GM level
- Must have financial services experience
