**Position: Disability Support Worker**

Job Responsibilities:

- Provide personal care assistance to participants, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Assist participants with their daily activities, such as meal preparation, medication management, and household tasks.
- Support participants in managing their mental health conditions by actively listening, offering emotional support, and encouraging healthy coping strategies.
- Foster a safe and supportive environment that promotes social interaction, community engagement, and life skills development.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including healthcare professionals, case managers, and family members, to ensure holistic care delivery.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of participant progress, incidents, and any changes in their physical or mental health.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills in disability support and mental health care.

**Experience, Skills and Qualifications**
- Cert III or Cert IV In disability or equivalent Previous experience in the disability field
- Knowledge of personal care techniques, safe manual handling, and infection control protocols.
- Understanding of mental health conditions, including common symptoms and treatment approaches.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build a trusting relationship with participants, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

**Salary**: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour
