St Andrew's Hospital is Australia's largest, stand-alone independent private hospital providing medical and surgical excellence to South Australians for over 80 years. It has over 200 beds with state-of-the-art operating theatre suites, procedural suites, a 28-bed cardiac unit, an 18 bed critical care unit and emergency service in addition to a new procedure suite complete with DOSA (Day of Surgery Admission), an angiography suite and South Australia's most comprehensive private cancer-care facility.

The St Andrew's Hospital Coding Unit is staffed by 9 qualified and experienced coders, working rostered shifts on a full time, part time basis over a 5-day work week. The hospital provides a broad casemix coding profile but does not include maternity, mental health, major trauma or rehabilitation.
