The St Andrew's Hospital Coding Unit is staffed by 9 qualified and experienced coders, working varied hours either full time, or on a part time basis over a 5-day work week. The hospital provides a broad case mix coding profile but does not include maternity, mental health, major trauma or rehabilitation.

**About this role**:
As a Clinical Coder Level 2, you will dive deep into clinical documentation, translating complex diagnoses and procedures into a precise ICD-10-AM and ACHI codes. Our innovative Clinical Documentation Improvement Program facilitates excellent clinical documentation conducive for accurate coding and supports your work to ensure that every patient's clinical journey is accurately captured, from admission to treatment.

You must have successfully completed the Health Information Management Association of Australia (HIMAA) clinical coding course (certificate IV or equivalent) or be a graduate of a HIMAA Accredited University program.

**What You Bring**:

- **Hospital Expertise**:At least three years of clinical coding experience in a hospital setting.
- **Coding Mastery**:Deep knowledge of ICD-10-AM, ACHI, and a flair for problem-solving.
- **Strong Communication**:Engage effectively with Clinical Documentation Specialists, and clinical staff, ensuring clarity and accuracy in every coded episode.

**Hours**:
This can be either a full time or part time role Monday to Friday, some flexibility with hours are negotiable.
