**This opportunity**
As a Chapter Lead Visual Design, you will be responsible for leading and inspiring a team of visual design professionals. You will provide creative direction, mentorship, and guidance ensuring the highest quality of design output in line with our brand guidelines and business objectives. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled visual designer with leadership abilities to make a significant impact in the telecommunications industry.
You will take ownership of key customer & commercial targets to ensure we meet our digital ambition and transformational objectives.
This role leads designers who work on multiple digital assets across the TPG Telecom brand portfolio:
- My Vodafone app
- Lebara app

Leadership:
- Lead and manage a team of visual designers, fostering a positive team culture, knowledge sharing, innovation and collaboration.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to team members, helping them grow their skills and achieve their professional goals.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Organise team rituals and practices to ensure we are constantly refining and improving our design ways of working.
- Act as an advocate for the voice of the customer by generating insights into user needs and behaviours.
Visual Design:
- Provide strategic direction for visual design initiatives, aligning them with our brand identities and values
- Define and maintain visual design standards and guidelines, ensuring brand consistency across all digital touchpoints
- Support Digital Operations to deliver merchandising, marketing campaigns, product propositions, device launches and support services
- Support the UX Chapter in creating seamless and delightful user experiences by providing visual design expertise.
- Partner with DesignOps to play a key role in the creation and maintenance of UI libraries/design systems and support to deliver operational initiatives and optimisations that align with business goals
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Iteration managers, Product owners, UX/UI designers, Engineers, Copywriters and various stakeholders
- Stay updated with the latest trends and emerging technologies in visual design and advocate for their adoption when appropriate.
- Facilitate the design process and workshops by engaging relevant team members and ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and involved.
Project Management and Delivery:
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and with high quality.
- Collaborate with project managers, product owners and cross-functional teams to establish project priorities, resource allocation, and timelines.
- Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the design and development process.
- Conduct regular project reviews to evaluate outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and implement lessons learned in future projects.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including executives, product owners, and other relevant teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their business objectives, user needs, and constraints, and translate them into effective designs.
- Communicate visual design plans, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders, providing regular updates and gathering feedback to drive continuous improvement.
**Knowledge and experience**
- Proven experience (7-10 years) in visual design with a strong portfolio showcasing your design expertise across various digital platforms.
- Bachelor's or Masters degree in a related field is a plus
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of successfully leading and managing high performing design teams.
- Advanced skills with using a range of design tools (Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch/Figma etc)
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design conce
