Your Opportunity
The Policy and Compliance Co-ordinator works within the Strategy and Risk team and will be responsible for:

- Coordinating inputs and accuracy of TAFE Queensland's Policy and Procedure Library and related information services.
- Maintaining TAFE Queensland's Compliance Obligations Register and relating reporting and management tools.
- Maintaining effective and efficient liaison with stakeholders on matters relating to the policy and procedure, assurance, compliance and risk functions.
- Co-ordinate business improvement projects across the broad functions and services of the team.

This position reports to the Manager Policy and works closely with the Manager Risk and Compliance and Director Strategy and Risk.
This is a Permanent, Full-Time opportunity, unless otherwise determined.
The position will be based primarily at Southbank however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the administrative management of the Policies Procedures Library and associated workflow for instrument development and review.
- Assist the Manager Policy to review policy and procedure instruments and ready them for publication.
- Administratively manage the Compliance Obligations Register and associated review and improvement practices.
- Administratively manage the Insurance Register and associated renewal, service and reporting practices.
- Establish and maintain information services for the Strategy and Risk team including content for web and intranet sites for policy and procedure, assurance, compliance, and risk functions.
- Utilise software, computer-based systems and technology with a high degree of competence and accuracy to undertake, analyse, record, report and monitor key activities for the team.
- Co-ordinate lifecycle projects across risk, compliance and policy functions with a focus on maximising usability and applicability for TAFE Queensland operations. For example: Redevelopment of the Policy & Procedures Library on the TAFE Queensland Intranet, risk and compliance software implementations.
- Provide executive support services (including meeting management and secretariat services) for team internal and external stakeholder engagement activities.
- Contribute to the development of written briefings, reports, and policy and procedure instruments across the operations of the team.
- Maintain effective office management practices and provide high level administrative functions to support the team, including collation of information to support the development of Board and Executive reporting and support of audit functions.
- Undertake productive stakeholder engagement and liaise and build mutually productive working relationships across TAFE Queensland to support the outcomes of the team.
- Contribute to improvement in business processes and practices by encouraging an environment where high quality work is achieved and is supported by the development and adherence to quality systems.
- Undertake other duties as requested by the Manager Policy as required.

The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:

- Demonstrated ability in undertaking duties of a quality and compliance nature including analysing and critqueing submissions, and working within frameworks to provide quality service to customers and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills including a high command of the English language evidenced in written communication, document setting and stakeholder liaison specific to the duties of this role.
- High level of technical proficiency in a range of systems, software and tools to support the management of quality and compliance.
- Well developed problem solving, time management and prioritisation skills, with a high attention to detail and demonstrated ability to coordinate activity to achieve successful outcomes.
