**What will you do?**:
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Category Assistant in Toys to Support the Category Buyer in building and trading the category to deliver the strategy, vision and financial KPI’s. Provide assistance in managing vendors/suppliers to deliver products aligned to Target POV, style and quality. Responsible for pricing & promotional execution, and adherence to the merchandise critical path.

**Other key responsibilities include**:

- Responsible for integrity of product data through the product lifecycle
- Execute pricing and promotion events
- Responsible for marketing administration and sample management, including cross-functional collaboration with the GTM Manager
- Positive and collaborative supplier liaison, including initial vendor set-up
- Support in managing the end-to-end process to ensure suppliers meet critical path deadlines
- General administrative support to the business group as required
- Use of all Target Merchandise Systems relevant to the role
- Develop an understanding of the Target customer and position in market
- Support the Category Buyer in the development of go to market plans and market selection.
- Actively involved in review of weekly sales analysis, quarterly hindsight’s and seasonal strategy analysis to define required actions
- Work collaboratively with the Vendors & Supplier to ensure quality, safety and compliance throughout the range.

**What are we looking for?**:
You will bring to the role strong stakeholder management and influencing skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships. You will have solid commercial acumen and critical thinking with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Demonstrated ability working in a fast paced, preferably retail environment and able to manage large volumes of work and prioritise competing deadlines.
- Proficient or ability to learn Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office as well as internal systems.
- Previous administrative or data entry experience and basic understanding of retail arithmetic
- Effective and collaborative communication skills
- Problem solving, ability to prioritise conflicting workload
- Retail store experience and/or Marketing / Merchandise related degree is preferred, but not essential
