**About The Centre**

Thrive Early Learning Centres, Picton is our purpose built centre operating Monday to Friday, 7am - 6pm.

The centre is licensed for up to 63 children per day, aged from 6 weeks to 5 years age.

**This is an exciting opportunity to be part of building both a team and a service from the ground up.**

**About The Role**

**The Educational Leader** role will suit someone with experience in programming and the ability to inspire, motivate and maintain a positive learning culture within the centre for children, families and colleagues.

You will spend time floating between each room and allocated a minimum of 8 hours per week of non contact time to complete any training and mentoring required.

To ensure you are fully supported in your role, **you will be working closely with our Head of Education and Quality**as well as all Educational Leaders within Thrive.

**Your main responsibilities will be to**:

- Support educators to assess each child’s learning and development in relation to the approved learning framework, other contemporary theories and the Thrive Curriculum
- Support educators to critically reflect on each child’s learning and development and on their own pedagogy as part of everyday practice.
- Reflect on educational pedagogy as part of everyday practice
- Maintain a positive working relationship with all team members
- Maintain effective communication with parents
- Uphold strong work values with a focus on being your best by doing your best

**Your skills and qualifications should include**:

- Either Bachelor of Teaching (or equivalent) or Diploma qualification in early childhood education.
- NSW Employee Working With Children Check
- A strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer and technology skills
- _Strong knowledge of Kinderm8 is highly desirable._
