**ICU Hospital Medical Officer**

An exciting opportunity exists for an ICU Hospital Medical Officer to join the team at the Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital on a full-time, 12-month contract (with potential for extension).

**About the Role**

Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital (SCUPH) has 8 dedicated ICU beds and 3 CCU beds. SCUPH ICU provides support to 4 inpatient wards with a mix of medical and surgical specialties. SCUPH ICU HMO work includes caring for elective post-surgical patients including cardiothoracic and neurosurgery patients.

**About You**
- General Registration with AHPRA
- Minimum PGY4 +
- Prior ICU experience essential, cardiothoracic surgery experience desirable (not essential)
- Competent in providing advanced life support measures with current ALS certification
- Availability for 72 hours per fortnight
- Ability to work independently

The ICU HMO works under the supervision of the intensive care consultant who is available 24/7.

**Requirements**:

- Must be vaccinated against Covid-19, a vaccine approved by the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation
