**Job Number**: 500231 **The details**: - Permanent Full Time | 9 day fortnight - $71,286 pa (includes industry allowance and uniform allowance) + 12% super + leave loading. _Please note, progression in remuneration (up to Level 8 - $75,378 inc. allowances + super) is available for this position upon meeting performance and training requirements outlined in a structured crew leader framework._ Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream B) - Level 6 of the EBA5 - 9 day fortnight - 76 hour fortnight - Location: Petrie Depot - please note, this position will be moving to a Narangba location in the coming months. This position involves leading a drainage crew responsible for maintaining Council's drainage networks. Your responsibilities will include identifying defects in drainage infrastructure, particularly focusing on table drains, and undertaking effective remediation works to address identified issues as well as performing necessary operational maintenance. You will lead a small team in carrying out assigned tasks and operating machinary. The team frequently uses various plant and equipment, primarily a tipper truck and a small excavator, to execute their duties. Any additional licences or competencies to operate the relevant plant/equipment paired with the below listed skills, experience and qualifications would be desirable. - (This position is internally known as "Crew Leader - Roads")_ We are focused on delivering on our corporate values of Service, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect and Sustainability, and we are seeking people who resonate with these values. **About you** Ideally you will have demonstrated relevant experience in maintaining or working with civil drainage systems, as well as experience leading people. We'll definitely need you to bring your strong communication skills for effective interaction with both internal and external stakeholders, a proven ability to perform manual tasks in safety oriented environments, proficiency with relevant technology and capability to handle basic administrative duties. Paired with the above mentioned skills and experience, you will also hold: - a current truck licence (minimum medium rigid - MR) - a Construction Induction card (willingness to obtain prior to commencement) - a Traffic Management Implementation licence and a high risk work dogging (HRW DG) licence (or willingness to obtain within 6 months of commencement Additionally, a Certificate III in Civil Construction or a similar qualification in a relevant field is considered highly desirable but not mandatory, though the qualification will be mandatory to progress through the Crew Leader Framework. **Why City of Moreton Bay?** What you do with your life matters.
